Prosciutto Stuzzichini

I have been so inspired lately to cook that I can hardly keep up with what all I’ve made and photographed :) I nearly forgot about these adorable Prosciutto Stuzzichini because they are quite simple with only a few ingredients and not really any magnificent preparation to share either. At first I wasn’t sure if their simplicity even merited a blog post but then I got to thinking that some of the best recipes are the ones that are the simplest! (and include prosciutto)

These little beauties are delectable and will surely be a favorite on your next appetizer table because I know I’m not the only one who has a weakness for prosciutto. It is always the first to go!

Stuzzichini (singular stuzzichino) is the Italian word for a small antipasto or appetizer. Little bites that can be eaten during aperitivo or happy hour :) Doesn’t that sound nice?!

The Recipe

Prosciutto Stuzzichini

The Ingredients -

  • 4 oz Prosciutto (8 slices)

  • 4 oz Chevre cheese

  • pepper

  • Fig Preserves

  1. In a bowl, add the chevre cheese and pepper, mix to combine

  2. Roll the chevre into approx. 3/4” balls. You want to have 16 total.

  3. Cut the prosciutto slices in half lengthwise. Roll each ball of chevre up in 1 cut slice of the prosciutto, close with a toothpick. Repeat.

  4. Serve at room temp with the fig preserves.

    Makes 16

Buon Appetito! And remember, these Prosciutto Stuzzichini definitely go good with wine!
