Some cocktails feel like an instant mood shift…and this Campari Rosso Spritz is one of them.

Bold, bittersweet, and effortlessly chic, this drink has quickly become one of our favorites! It’s perfect for a golden hour aperitivo or when you want something that feels a little grown up but still refreshing :) The Campari is fabulous here with it’s lovely ruby color and herbal bite, while the vodka helps smooth it all out perfectly. A couple dashes of aromatic bitters deepen the flavor and add just a bit of complexity.

VARIATIONS - If you’re in the mood for something lighter, a splash of bubbly water transforms this cocktail into a kind of Breezy Spritz (not pictured). Perfect for warm afternoons with a few salty snacks or sipping on before dinner. OR if your in the mood for something smooth and strong try this drink shaken instead of over ice (pictured)

P.S. If you don’t like Campari or bitter liqueurs like it then don’t try this drink…haha!

Campari Rosso Spritz

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 oz Campari

  • 1 oz vodka

  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters

  • Orange twist or slice, for garnish

  • Ice

PREPARATION

  1. Fill your desired glass with ice - I used a stemless martini glass this time :)

  2. Add the Campari and vodka.

  3. Add the bitters and stir gently until well chilled.

  4. Garnish with orange twist or slice.

VARIATIONS

SHAKEN

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Add in the Campari, vodka and bitters.

  3. Shake until chilled and then strain into a small glass of your choice

  4. Garnish with an orange slice

BREEZY SPRITZ

  1. Fill a large wine glass or stemmed glass with ice.

  2. Add the Campari and vodka.

  3. Add the bitters and stir gently to combine.

  4. Top with 2-3 oz of chilled soda water and give one light stir.

  5. Garnish with orange twist or slice.
