The search for the perfect Italian home begins right here. If you’re reading this you are probably interested in your own little piece of La Dolce Vita just like me :) Maybe you’re still in the dreaming stages…or maybe you’re ready to take the next steps in the process…either way, looking at homes for sale in Italy is a very exciting place to be!
Starting your search for your perfect Italian home is such a fun part of the process…and these websites are going to help you with that. The first three are the most popular for looking at homes in Italy. They have the largest selection, spanning over all of the regions and getting down into the smallest of towns. They are wonderful because they will give you an idea of what you can find at different price points in various towns and regions. I have been looking at these websites for years…dreaming and planning about what would be someday! The other sites I’ve added in for fun because they offer a little something different.

Idealista.it
This is a great user friendly site. You can easily change the language to English (top right of the page) as well as create an account so that you can save your searches, get email alerts and favorite the houses that you like. You can search by town, region or draw an area on your map that you’d like to look at. After that you can narrow down the search with lots of different filters.
Idealista also offers an app for your phone so you can take your searches along with you.
Immobiliare.it
This is another site that is easy to navigate and can be switched over to English (very bottom of the page on the right) quickly. You will see a lot of the same houses here as Idealista.it but usually there are always some different ones too, so checking out both sites is worth the time. You can set up an account to save your searches, favorite houses and get email alerts when something new has come up. You can choose to search a specific town, region or draw an area on the map. Again, lots of filters after this so that you can narrow down exactly what you are looking for.
Immobiliare also offers an app for your phone
Casa.it
This site is in Italian to search but then you can choose to read about a listing you are viewing in English. So, it is a bit for difficult to navigate this one if you don’t have some knowledge of Italian. This site with have the same ways to search as the two above and you will be able to favorite the houses you like. There are going to be duplicates like the two sites above but there will some listings you will only find here.
This site too offers an app for your phone.
Gate Away
This site is all in English and very user friendly. Under the “help” section (top of main page) there is a great breakdown of the home buying process and they offer a free property scout. Not as many homes as the first three but there is always something different here.
Homes and Villas Abroad
This is another site that will have some duplicates but also offers some unique listings. There is a place where you can search just for luxury homes which I think is fun…even if it’s just for dreaming :) There is also legal and purchasing assistance offered.
