DIY Homemade Bubbles
My kids, like most kids, have always loved blowing bubbles! Inevitably they always end up getting spilled…especially by the little ones:) It can get too expensive if you are buying good ones, and if you buy them at the dollar store to try and save money, the bubbles are just garbage and end up being more frustrating than fun for the kids.
These homemade bubbles only have a few ingredients and are very easy to throw together. And once you make them you will never go back to buying them from the store. And I like that I can give my little one just enough just in case it does end up on the ground. I’ve saved bottles and wands from store bought bubbles and then just refill them as needed.
FYI - These bubbles make really fun party favors too. Just bottle the liquid in individual bottles, put a little label and bubble wand and voila!
DIY Homemade Bubbles
THE INGREDIENTS -
2 Cups water
1 Tablespoon sugar - I used organic cane sugar
1/4 cup dish soap - I used 7th Generation
2 Tablespoons Glycerin - I used this one >>HERE<< from Amazon
THE INSTRUCTIONS -
Heat a 1/2 cup of the water just to boiling, and then add it to a mason jar along with the sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add in the remaining 1 1/2 cups water (tap or room temp water)
Add in the dish soap and glycerin and stir or shake gently to combine. If you shake too hard you will make bubbles :) This obviously isn’t a problem but it will make pouring the mixture more difficult until they have popped.
Blow bubbles and have fun!!
